ColivingScout links to named properties and explains practical differences between them. A source page confirms that a property is advertised, but does not confirm that a room is available, that a quoted price is current, or that the operator has joined ColivingScout. We label samples and commercial links separately.
Where property information comes from
We prefer the operator’s own property page when one exists. A marketplace page can establish a named listing and its advertised details, but the host’s current terms must still be checked there. Earlier TravelShifu research is labeled separately because the room type or minimum stay may have changed. Every named card keeps a link to its original source.

How we compare destinations and homes
Our destination guides focus on the decisions that affect a real stay: neighbourhood, commute, room privacy, work setup, shared facilities, total cost and stay rules. We write a short answer first, then show the tradeoffs and source-linked options. We do not rank a property as “best” simply because a marketplace has many listings or a source displays a high score.
The real-options directory is a research shortlist. The separate sample-space explorer demonstrates a future comparison experience; its fictional profiles, images and prices are labeled and excluded from search indexing. We do not publish a live booking price, review score, verified badge or availability claim without evidence for that exact property and date.
Dates, changes and corrections
A page’s updated date records a substantive editorial change. The same date is used in its visible byline, structured data and sitemap where applicable. Rebuilding the website alone does not refresh that date. Property terms can change between checks, so the original source takes priority for a booking decision.
When a source contradicts a page, we review the specific claim and amend or remove it. We do not silently replace a disputed figure with another unverified figure. A public message channel is not yet configured; the contact page states its current status. Until then, use the linked operator or marketplace for time-sensitive booking questions.
Images and commercial relationships
Destination photographs depict the named place; sample-property interiors are illustrative and are never presented as photographs of the researched properties. We do not reuse operator room photos without permission. Approved affiliate links are labeled “Partner link” and retain a separate original source link. They may earn ColivingScout a commission; read the partner-link disclosure.
What our technical checks mean
Build checks look for missing titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, broken internal links, invalid structured data and accidental indexing of fictional samples. Those checks cannot verify a property’s safety, ownership, room condition or legal terms. Read our listing approach and use the booking checklist when comparing an actual offer.
